Important Update: Meet Event Selection Process
Dear Swim Team Families,
As we move into the remainder of the season, we'd like to make a small change to how swimmers select their meet events.
Beginning with our next meet, swimmers should select only TWO individual events when completing their event selections.
This change gives the coaching staff more flexibility to build the strongest possible relay teams. Relays are an important part of every meet because they provide valuable opportunities to earn team points while allowing more swimmers to contribute to the team's success.
If your swimmer has a third individual event they would like to swim (if space is available), please list that event in the "Notes to Coaches" section when submitting their entries. We will do our best to accommodate those requests whenever the meet lineup allows.
Additionally, swimmers who are selected for two relays but would still like to swim a third individual event may be entered as an exhibition swimmer, if lane space is available. An exhibition swim allows your swimmer to:
- Receive an official time for the event.
- Gain valuable racing experience.
- Try a new event or work toward a personal best.
Please note that exhibition swims do not score team points, even though the swimmer receives an official time.
Our goal is to balance individual opportunities with building the strongest team possible. We appreciate your flexibility and understanding as we make these adjustments to help our swimmers and our team succeed throughout the season.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to another great meet!
See you at the pool!
